HDFC Bank Q3 Results 2025: India’s largest private lender HDFC Bank will release its financial results for the third quarter of FY25 today, January 22, 2025. HDFC Bank is one of the 42 companies to announce their earnings on this day. HDFC Bank’s share price fell on Tuesday, a day before it announces its results for the third quarter ended December 2024.

HDFC Bank’s board of directors will meet today, January 22, to consider and approve the financial results for the quarters from October to December 2024. As part of the release of the bank’s unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results, an earnings call with analysts and investors will be held at 5:00 PM.

The call will feature senior management of the bank and discuss the financial results with the participants. Typically, HDFC Bank releases its quarterly earnings between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM, which is an important time for investors.

HDFC Bank’s net profit for the third quarter of 2025 is expected to be Rs 16,097 crore, down 1.7% from the same period last year. Net interest income (NII) is forecast to grow by 7.4% to Rs 30,584.9 crore, a significant improvement over Rs 28,471 crore in the previous year. However, according to Prabhudas Lilladher’s estimates, net interest margin (NIM) is likely to decline by 14 basis points to 3.58% from 3.73%.

Loan growth is expected to moderate slightly, while provisions are likely to increase by 25% on account of ageing, increased slippage and prudent accounting practices. Gross non-performing assets (GNPA) is expected to decline by 7 basis points to 1.43% in the quarter ending December. This month, HDFC Bank’s share price has fallen 8%, down 5% in three months, but up more than 11% in a year. On Tuesday, the bank’s share price closed down 0.58% at ₹1,641.75 on the BSE.
